When may you use fog lights?
Only when visibility is seriously reduced — generally below 100 metres — and you must switch them off when it improves, or they dazzle others and mask your brake lights.
What causes most skids?
The driver: braking, steering or accelerating too harshly for the conditions. If the rear of the car slides, steer gently into the skid and come off the pedals.
